Transfer manager
The platform facilitates seamless data transfer across multiple drives. At its core, a primary device serves as the central hub, equipped with multiple ports for inserting multiple SSDs or other various drives.
On one side of the main device, there is a dedicated source port where data is initially fed into the system. On the opposite side, multiple destination ports allow for simultaneous data distribution to various SSDs. This platform ensures efficient and high-speed data transfer, making it an ideal solution for handling large volumes of data across multiple storage devices.

Research
Initial work on transferring the data is controlled through a different application, which is controlled through a browser.
The intention was to provide a native application (for iOS / iPadOS / macOS initially) which will allow us to improve the user experience, and add some more functionality.

Requirements
Users will be running multiple copy jobs per day and copies are likely to take up to some minutes, so their attention will be moving between multiple tasks. Jobs's status must be easy to check, allowing users to focus on other tasks (e.g., quickly verifying that the platform is successfully copying while taking a break).
Almost all the jobs will likely be executed in the same configuration multiple times a day, it should be simple to launch a saved template while minimizing the risk of errors.
After jobs have finished users need to be able to browse their status. In a good implementation the platform may be able to store the whole history of all jobs run on a project.

We made a strategic decision to incorporate a dashboard-style structure into the design, ensuring that users could access all essential information and functionalities from a single page. This approach eliminates the need for unnecessary navigation, streamlining the user experience.

Editors, producers, and other industry experts don’t have the luxury to juggle between pages to find what they need. Every second counts, and a cluttered or disjointed experience can slow down their productivity.
